About me
I am Jolly phonics trained. This has helped me in the area of assisting pre-schoolers and children in the elementary classes who have difficulty reading to surmount this challenge successfully. I have also tutored dyslexic children and was able to guide them patiently on how to comprehend simple passages. Helping children to read is a passion for me. I am versed in the implementation of the British curriculum and this has helped the children greatly because I break down the subject content down to easily understandable units , a method which has always yielded great results.
I am very explicit in my explanation to pupils and also vary my teaching methods frequently to make the teaching-learning process interesting and ultimately, to make sure that the kids have a grasp of the subject matter.
I always ensure that I leverage on my pupils' strengths to improve their weaknesses.
In general , I teach Literacy, Numeracy, Elementary English& Mathematics, Quantitative& Verbal reasoning, Elementary science and Handwriting improvement.

I have achieved the feat of helping children to enhance their number sense and mathematical skills in general by using the appropriate teaching methods/ strategies and being explicit in my explanation for them to have a good grasp of the important points of the subject matter.

I have been able to teach many pupils how to read with the use of sounds. I have also assisted those with comprehension and spellings challenges to become better students.
Phonics - details about teaching experience:
I make use of Jolly phonics sounds to teach children how to sound, blend and pronounce words correctly. This method has been very useful in helping them to read fluently and spell accurately.
