About me
I studied Biochemistry at Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) where I graduated with a First Class and as the best graduating student in the department. Teaching and imparting knowledge has always been my keen passion, and through out my undergraduate days, I took different courses in both Chemistry and Biochemistry for students in 100, 200, 300 and 400 levels. My teaching is always oriented at understanding the basic concept of the course and building upon that to get an excellent result. For Instance, Spectroscopy (CHM 307) was seen as an arcane course in OAU chemistry department, and it's arguably the most failed course on OAU campus. Knowing this before we started the course, I organized a tutorial for my classmates where class notes are perused, myriads of questions were solved and after the end of the semester , virtually all my classmates(56) passed the course excellently.
At Secondary level, I have taught students both as a private tutor and also as a teacher in a secondary school. In the school, I taught last, the students(SSS2 and SSS3) lacked the basic background in Chemistry and to address this, I planned with the principal to give me additional periods to address the issue. And with time, they were able to catch up and 70% of the students went on to perform excellently in their SSCE Chemistry ( Though I wasn't there during the time as I left for NYSC, I was told).

Many avoid science because they believe it's abstract and difficult to relate with and that's why I have always taken it upon myself to bring the science home and use relatable and simple examples that will simplify it. I also test my students' understanding of the course frequently.
