About me
I am a seasoned teacher from UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS. I have NCE, B.Sc and M.Sc in Mathematics and Sciences. I have worked in International schools where I have got experience in teaching various subjects and examination preparations. I make use of various pedagogy to impart my students. These students are my living witnesses.
Mathematics - details about teaching experience:
There are wide range of teaching methods that are suitable for different age grades. Playway methods can be used for children. This allows the teacher and students to have good rapport. Another method is holistic method which refers to using a variety of methods like visual, audio-visual as well as kinesthetic methods. An advantages of this method is that it appeals to all the senses of the learners and much more. Mathematics games is another method that stimulates the minds of the learners.
Physics - details about teaching experience:
Physics is learnt by practical experience and that is what I use to teach various concept. I also put into consideration, individual differences among my students. Another method is problem based approach. Here, students are assigned tasks in which the teacher helps them to discover facts and figures. It can also be referred to as the discovery method.
Chemistry - details about teaching experience:
With rigorous drilling of fact and figures as well as concepts in Chemistry, My student has a lot to gain. I help reduce abstractions in the subject by touching various topics needed for success, making use of hands on objects materials (matter) and also topics that would be useful for them in the outside world
English - details about teaching experience:
English is a conversational subject divided into spoken and written. Depending on the categories of students, there a handful of methods that can be suited for a particular student. Dramatisation, listening to audio clips, memorizing the alphabets and also carrying out activities that will appeal to the students' sense organs
Social Studies - details about teaching experience:
Social Studies is a subject that deals more on human social interactions relative to their environment. It's a social and anthropological subject. As such, I teach the subject making sure the social aspect of it is emphasized through various instructional methods such play, dramatisation, role play and also various display of facts and figures.
Sciences - details about teaching experience:
As a second degree graduate in Mathematics and Sciences, I have taught Physics, Chemistry and Biology for over 10years. I have prepared students for various terminal exams such BECE, national and state, NECO SSCE, internal and external, GCE, Junior Science Olympiad, Checkpoint, SAT, IGCSE etc. I make use of holistic approach to learning.
