About me
I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Special Education, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I am also a certified Special Needs Therapist, (SNT) trained by Patrick Speech training academy, Lagos, Nigeria. and a certified teacher under Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
Additionally, I frequently attend conferences and training to add to my knowledge. This includes Registered Behaviour Technician training, Understanding Dyslexia training, Sensory processing disorder training, Differentiated learning training, Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH) course and many others.
My more than 5 years teaching experience has equipped me with hands-on experience working with a diverse group of students including those diagnosed with Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), hearing impairment, anxiety disorder, physical challenges and learning disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. These experiences have helped me blossom into a well-rounded teacher who takes into account each learner’s abilities, needs and interests and uses multi-sensory teaching methods to meet the needs of tactile, auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners.
