I like to relate with students based on their level of understanding, which makes it easier for them to easily recall main points. I focus on building ease and confidence a student has on their strengths instead of focusing on their weaknesses.
My students are often encouraged to do their own research, and assignments are a staple of my methodology. This not only improves their research skills, but also gives then avenues by which they can expand their knowledge of the subject.
