I'm a certified teacher who uses learner-centered approach such as discussion, discovery/inquiry-based approach and interactive/participative method in teaching.
However, I do use REALIA in teaching practical-related subjects in order to help the student to make connections to their own lives as they try to make sense of new concepts and ideas.
The advantage is that my students always come out with distinctions in their external examinations.
