I'm a graduate of economics and statistics from the University of Benin. I'm currently doing my PGDE program at the National Open University of Nigeria.
My teaching method is student centered where in students get to express their views on the best way they can best understand the concept being taught. Instructional materials are not just tied to only flash cards, I can use even the immediate relatable environment to communicate the ideas.
The expected result of my ideal class, added to success in their exams is for the students to not just only make textbook recitations but able to explain what the text says and how it can be fully applied or benefited from in the real world.

For maths, the first stage is to rebuild the child's confidence in himself to deal with the subject, quelling any fear it might have about mathematics.
In teaching, I primarily focus on the mental pace of the child and flow with it, each child has its own special mental pace and capacity. Also, apart from reading for exams, I connect the subject to practical experience so the child understand that what is being studied is not just and unreal abstract unneeded concept.
