About me
Bintu as a graduate of Architectural Technology is a freelance architect with also two years of teaching experience as a Basic Technology teacher at Junior Secondary School, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja.
In my role as a teacher and tutor, I have found that helping learners associate what they learn with daily matters facilitates learning better. For instance, if a child is asked to divide 50 by 2, he might feel lost. But ask him to share #50 between himself and his sibling and he would come up with the answer faster.
I also use audiovisual aids to improve learning.
As a tutor, my goal is to help each learner to love learning and build confidence. This in turn improves their attitude to study and viz a viz their academic performance.

Since learners are generally afraid of mathematics, I employ techniques that make learning mathematics fun and easy.

I encourage my learners to enjoy reading as this improves vocabulary, comprehension, and composition skills. To do this, I love to read aloud to learners in a way that makes the passage come alive. By varying my pitch, volume and pace I can achieve this.

Draftsmanship - details about teaching experience:
AutoCAD has an interactive interface. Hence, when coaching learners I focus on the basic commands and help them to interact with the interface. This leads to faster and independent learning.
Basic Science and Technology - details about teaching experience:
Learners grasp concepts faster when they can relate to them or associate them with what they see every day. This method of making practical application of concepts taught has impacted positively on my learners.
