About me
I have worked as an English language and Literature teacher for more than six years. It is my pleasure to assert that I have taught students Literature-in-English for WAEC/ NECO and JAMB, and they all excelled beyond expectations. I have displayed great talents in managing my classroom, teaching concepts to all learning styles, and developing a genuine love of learning in my students. I have spearheaded the development of English skills in students through activities such as: impromptu speech, debates, quizzes and talent shows. I ensured that I instilled positive values in the graduating students before they leave for their respective universities.
I have covered grammar, punctuation, syntax, sentence and paragraph structure, and thought organization in the English Language. And in Literature-in-English, I have covered both literary appreciation and literary criticisms.
I have supervised students progress in acquiring CCSS skills. I planned tests and assessment methods for checking students’ CCSS skills. I also combined various English teaching methods and techniques to help students improve their results.
I maintained a positive student-teacher relationship and cooperated with parents on a daily basis. I coordinated over 50 school trips to cultural institutions and interschool competitions.
