About me
I am a certified English Language teacher with keen knowledge and experience in IGCSE, Cambridge AS and A Levels, GCE, UTME, SSCE WAEC and NECO, IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, SAT and other language proficiency exams. I am recognized as a passionate, student-centred educator continually seeking to improve learning and school culture.
I earned a B.A.(Ed) degree in Education and English language from the Benue State University, Makurdi and a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Languages and Linguistics from the same University. As a graduate of Education and English Language, I possess sound teaching skills, coupled with the ability to manage multicultural society of students at all levels.
I have taught at a number of schools – Primary, secondary and tertiary and have been successful with the schools and clients I have worked with. About 97 percent of them always make obvious tremendous developments in their set goals, excelling in National and international examinations such as, WAEC, NECO, UTME, IJMB, CIE- AS/A Levels, IGCSE, TOEFL, IELTS and SAT.
In 2010, I won the Best Teacher of the year award from Calvin Foundation College, Naka. In 2017 and 2018, I led the students of African Child College Abuja to win the second prize in the Korean-Nigeria poetry competition twice in a row. Experienced in one-on-one tutoring and group instruction of ESL, I am skilled in adapting to students' diverse learning styles to produce the best in them.
Currently, I lecture at Aduvie Pre-University College where I teache English language and Literature and serve as the Head of Faculty of Humanities and Dean of Students Affairs. I have a number of publications to my credit, including ‘An Introduction to Literature and Literary Appreciation’.
I live in Abuja with my wife, Theresa and children, Dooter and Kerter.
