About me
My name is Emmanuel, I graduated from the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso Oyo State and obtained my Master degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Ibadan.
I work a as Part-Time Chemistry lecturer at Precious Cornerstone University Ibadan for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) programme where I created lesson plans, prepared and delivered lectures, created and supervised laboratory activities for students, evaluated student performance, maintained classroom records.
I liaise with the Head of Department and Learning Support Department in a situation where a student may have special educational needs. I plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lecture note and promote high standards of behavior by encouraging a positive, proactive approach to studying and build productive relationships with students. I encourage personal development via tutorial or mentor-ship. I invigilate examinations and interview course applicants.
Furthermore, I taught Chemistry in Christ Life College and assisted in taking other science subjects should in case the subject teachers are not around.
In addition, my objective is to motivate my students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking—to establish a learner-centered environment in the lecture room. My little years of experience has made me to be aware of the needs for interconnection between the student’s own knowledge, learning abilities, understanding of the subject matter discussed in class.
I am extremely interested in working with you and looking forward to the opportunity to not only teach existing courses but also work to contribute to academic focus of the school.
