About me
A Biochemistry major from the University of Port Harcourt. During my National Youth Service I was opportune to serve in a private secondary school here in Port Harcourt, I was able to handle 3 subjects with Biology inclusive. During my time with the students I was able to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses they had and as such worked towards aiding them learn at there own pace. Majority of the time we used songs to remember some vitals e.g the periodic table, the human dentition etc. We also made use of human examples where a student was to come out and we were to describe and learn the human body e. g with the human joints. At the end of my classes students were encouraged to ask questions and assignments were giving to encourage more reading. I can proudly say that a lot of my students that started out scared because of what they termed 'big grammer' were able to start speaking like true biologist, they always looked forward to biology classes, these I observed when they started calling for me even before my period (class) began. While in the course of my service year I also attended some child relationship courses both online and those organized by the school. It gives me great Joy to be a part of the success stories of the future generations.
