I am a 200level student of Pharmacy.
I believe no child is in-capable of reading and understanding, they just need the right help in the right places.
I'll use patience and recitations to get the best results from the child
My area of expertise is Mathematics but that doesn't stop me from teaching other subjects. Most students including me back in the days feared maths alot. I thought I would never be able to pass mathematics but not until I started receiving tutorials.
This goes to show that fear of maths mostly comes from the teaching but if a teacher can calmly and patiently teach a student through pictorial examples and recitations, that child will very much excel
