About me
I have a Bachelor of Science Education in Chemistry. I have more than five years of teaching experience in Secondary Schools. I enjoy being part of a busy team. At my current job in an International School, I worked in a fast-paced team environment as a Basic Science/IGCSE Chemistry Teacher. The pace of the work helped me stay motivated and achieved great success. I am a WAEC/NECO examiner. 95% of my students had Distinctions in WASSE, 2022 and 80% scored above 85 in Chemistry UTME, 2022. I am an organized and detailed-oriented person, and I believe this is important when working in a fast-paced role. I am very conversant with both the Nigerian and British Curricula. I also possess organizational skills which enable me to learn how to prioritize my work.
I worked as a Physics and Chemistry Tutor/Human Resources Officer at Best Option Advancement. I taught Advanced Level (A-Level) students who registered for the Joint University Preliminary Examination under the auspices of the Joint University Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB). I taught Chemistry and Physics. 80% of my students had Distinctions (A) in their Joint University Preliminary Examination conducted in September 2020 and July 2021 at Ilorin, Kwara State. I also increased the student population by 70% in 2021.
I worked as a Chemistry Teacher at Nempi Secondary School, Nempi, Imo State during my service year. I taught Chemistry from Senior Secondary School; 1-3. I got the award of the Best Serving Corper in my Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) during my service year by recommending extramural classes to the students. 95% of my students had Distinctions (A) in Chemistry during the WASSE, 2019.
I have had the privilege to work as a Chemistry teacher/Head Teacher at Great Stars Academy. I ensured that engaging lessons were delivered to diverse groups of pupils by monitoring the activities of the primary school teachers via marking lesson notes, lesson plans, and class attendance.
