About me
I have completed my research fellowship and postgraduate (Ph.D.) degree program in reproductive physiology; at the University of Granada, Spain and University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2019 and 2017 respectively. Earlier in 2011, I had my M.Sc. in Physiology from the University of Ibadan with the best result in endocrinology and metabolic physiology. In 2007, I had my B.Sc. (Hons) in Physiology with Second Class Upper division at University of Ilorin. Presently, based on Scopus ranking of top 500 scientists in Nigeria with scholarly output from 2019-2022, I have been ranked 64 and the best in my field of profession in Nigeria.
I have also gone for several other professional and academic trainings like Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Science Education), Molecular Biology and genetics and Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproductive medicine (Reproductive Biotechnology, Stem Cell Biotechnology) at the International School of Embryology, Fertility and Research Institute, India, research fellowship training at the Universidad de Granada in Reproductive Physiology and Biotechnology at the Institute de Biotecnologico, Centro de Investigacion Biomedica, Granada, Spain. I have over 13 years of cognate experience in teaching and research, both at the University and Hospital based practice. I have trained over 34 graduate students, Co-supervised 3 masters and 2 Ph.D. postgraduate, published over 60 journals including 170 book chapters in reproductive biology, applied physiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biophysics in international reputable journal. I am a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Young Academy, Physiological society of Nigeria, Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Networks.
My future goals will be to focus on applied physiology, reproductive technology, biophysics and biotechnology through the adoption and utilization of high-resolution imaging microarray, next generation sequencing and current techniques in molecular biology that could help in the analysis of different factors that affect reproductive health, and the environment in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
