About me
I've been teaching for over 20 years (mainly primary pupils and partly secondary students). I have the ability to patiently explain difficult concepts to pupils. I love reading, and I always encourage my pupils to read a lot because reading helps to build a healthy mindset, and it sharpens the brain. I teach reading skills using the phonics method because it's the most effective method. I help pupils to learn how to read and comprehend what they read by translating comprehension passages into the local dialect of my community (Hausa language). I speak English and Hausa languages fluently. I'm Yoruba by origin, but I was born and bred in the north.
