My experiences during my internship period at Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Aro Abeokuta and the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State where I gathered both theoretical and practical knowledge in providing therapeutic, counselling and addressing mental
health issues including children and adult diagnosed with depression, anxiety and substance use which extends towards the improvement of patients’ lives through effective coping techniques and enhancing behavioural patterns. Overall, 80% of these patients showed significant
improvement in both mental and overall wellbeing.
My desire in the psychology field inspired me to further my studies in Clinical Psychology where I obtained a master’s of science (M.Sc.) at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. I have participated in multiple studies on depression. One of the experiments focused on alleviating the
signs of depression and improving wellbeing of patients, this study was vital in helping health care professionals develop guidelines for patients with depression. My passion lies in the interaction of patients and learning how they can cope with life challenges.
