About me
I am Dr. Adedayo Jeremiah Adeyekun is a Nigerian Author, Architect, Artist, Urban Planner, Educator and a Preacher of the Word of God. I am registered with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and a corporate member of the Indian Institute of Architects. I obtained the degree of B.Sc. Tech Architecture from the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2008 before proceeding to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, India to obtain the degree of Master of Planning (M. Plan) securing a silver medal, 71.7% (2nd in the Class of 20 Students) in 2017. I pursued an interdisciplinary research in the department of Civil Engineering that will enable me to teach in Architecture and Civil Engineering. And therefore, I have completed a PhD in Civil Engineering with the submission of a dissertation titled: Management of Building Materials and Construction Waste on Project Sites: A Study of Selected Construction Projects in Gurugram, Haryana from Jagannath University, Bahadurgarh, Delhi – NCR, Haryana, India.
Adedayo have demonstrated a lot of commitments to professional practice in Architecture for more than 14 years with the execution of about 47 buildings in Nigeria and India. I designed about 122 buildings and more than 20 buildings already constructed in India, making him the only Nigerian architect whose degree was granted recognition to practice in India with a good knowledge of Indian Architectural Style.
I was an assistant professor in the faculty of Architecture, Savera College of Architecture, Gurugram affiliated to MDU, Rohtak up to January 2016 and in October 2016; I was promoted to the position of associate professor. I research interest is spread across the discipline of Architecture, Planning, and Civil Engineering, and as a researcher; I have published more than 24 research papers and 7 academic books to my credit.
As a lecturer in the department of Architecture, I can teach the list of the following courses in the curriculum of B.Arch.: Architectural Design, Building Bye-Laws and Office Management, Freehand Sketching (Graphics), Architectural Graphics, Art Appreciation, Basic Construction Method, Rural Development and Planning, Construction Detailing, Basic Elements of Planning and Building Services. At the undergraduate level: Bachelor of Planning (B. Plan): Basics of Design-I and Arts & Graphics-I. For 4th, 7th, 8th Semester: I taught Planning & Design Studio (Housing Aspects), Planning and Control and Technical Report Writing. In addition to the courses above, I can teach the following courses in the department of Civil Engineering: Engineering Drawing, Building Services Engineering, Building Control and Management and Building Maintenance Engineering while in the department of Building Technology: Introduction to Building, Building Maintenance, Building Construction, Building Services and Building Components and Methods.
