About me
I served as a lecturer /Instructor /Facilitator at Emirate College of Health Science and Technology Kano State,as well as I pride myself on being result oriented. My work with NGOs to strengthen community, and capacity to engage with the Department of Field Operations, and delivering services on immunisation which saved millions lives of infants.
I am a great motivator and can adapt my approach to different personalities. I also thrive on creating networks and have a strong ability to communicate nutritional advice to people from different backgrounds.
Through my studies at University, I obtained a degree in Biochemistry from Kano University of Science and Technology (Wudil), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Bayero University Kano. And currently undergoing Msc Public Health Nutrition and Policy. I also underwent for some special courses on Community Engagement in Emergencies Preparedness and Responses (UNICEF), Maternal Nutrition in Emergencies (UNICEF), Micronutrient Malnutrition in Emergencies Preparedness and Responses (UNICEF), Nutrition of Older People in Emergencies (UNICEF), Online Child Safeguarding Training (UNICEF), Micronutrient Malnutrition in Emergencies Preparedness and Responses (UNICEF), Nutrition Assessment Counseling and Support by (TFNC) and (UNICEF), Infant and Young Child Feeding Programing in Emergencies (UNICEF), Conducting a Nutrition Cluster HNO Analysis (UNICEF), and Management of Acute Malnutrition during Emergency ( Outpatient treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition), which offered by Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC) in collaboration with UNICEF. I'm also a member of the PhiloMath Clinical Dietitian Forum International Society.
