About me
Taj Kachaamy is a Professor. From 2013 to 2018 she served as an adjunct at several international universities. From 2018 to 2020 she served as a full-time professor at the American University in the Emirates. During 2020-2021 she taught at George Fox University in Oregon USA, and in 2020 she founded the Institute of Arts. She is currently a lecturer at Poway Adult School. She received a B.A. in Graphic design from Notre Dame University in 1999, and a Master's in 2013. She received her Ph.D. in Arts and Art Sciences in 2022. From 2002 to 2008 she worked at Spinneys Head Office as a Production Manager.
Her research interests span both art's effects on brain performance and well-being and immersive arts, art sciences, and design Anthropology.
Taj also received a diploma in directing and coaching from Saint Joseph University (USJ) and a degree in theology and pastoral studies from Our Lady of Protection. In 2022, she received an award as best volunteer advisor in competition from careervillage.com, 2023, and a certificate of recognition in education from the county of San Diego 2022, a grand prize in Art in a contest conducted at district colleges of continuing education in San Diego There, she completed professional development in Digital Media, App Design, Movie Production, Motion Graphics, Ceramics, and resolving conflict and developing curriculum in education. Additionally, she received certificates from the University of Michigan in Immersive arts, Leading for Equity, Diversity, and inclusion in Higher Education, and introduction to American Law. Additionally, she completed training in different disciplines and was awarded certificates in Game Design and Game Programming, Digital Sculpting using Maya and Zbrush from Platt College in San Diego, relational needs, Healing Wounds, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) from the NLP Society in the USA, Art Therapy, and smart leadership from different colleges and universities.
Taj has made numerous contributions to developing curriculums in different disciplines including Game Design and Game Programming, Digital painting, and Sculpting, Character animation, immersive art, 2D and Design; and she has examined the impact of the arts on Brain Performance and wellbeing.
Dr. Kachaamy is a co-author and author of several papers. She conducted many workshops and presentations in different disciplines including art and well-being, game design, Digital sculpting, and drafting. And received several grants, awards, and recognitions.
