About Me:
Teaching Mathematics is a skill that I have cultivated through: Spending hours, daily, solving different math problems from a range of topics; creating self-explanatory revision modules; participating and winning in countless mathematics challenges and competitions like the Cowbell National Secondary School Mathematics Competition; and preparing over 10 students to win the aforementioned mathematics competition and pass mathematics in national exams.
In short, I will:
1. teach your child everything they need to pass mathematics in any exam,
2. create the best academic plan for them to revise completed topics (so as to improve retention and consistency), and
3. allow you to monitor your child’s progress and performance in each topic with no stress.
My Methodology (The Preliminaries):
First, your child has to go over a practice test to get a sense of what they know and how we can work together before you commit to a full tutoring plan. Your child needs to feel agency in the process to be fully invested, so it is worth having a meeting in which the child is an active participant.
After agreeing on a tutoring plan, the next step is to get familiar with the curriculum of the school your child attends and discuss the academic and extracurricular challenges that could interfere with your child’s learning.
My Methodology (Tutoring Procedure):
Mathematics is the easiest subject to pass in any exam. But the statement is only true for students who indulge in the constant and deliberate practice of the subject.
Furthermore, making a student understand the basic concept of a topic is an important part of learning mathematics, but only a half of it. The other half is making sure the topic sticks.
Here’s how I plan to prepare your child to pass mathematics in any exam in three simple steps:
1. I will teach them the essentials of the topic with standardized examples and make them solve enough practice questions, while strictly adhering to the curriculum of your child’s school.
2. Subsequently, a post will be sent to you when the topic is completed to: notify you of the topic completion, when the topic will be revised and give a summary of your child’s performance in the topic.
3. And then a week after the completion of the topic and every week after that, your child will go over a set of revision questions on the completed topic (different set of questions for every week).
Through this recurring pattern of learning, your child, without realizing it, will have: solved every possible question that can be spawned from the topic, made every possible mistake, learned from all of their mistakes. And over time, your child will have a deep understanding of the topic pattern and how to adeptly arrive at the correct answer of any form of question based on the topic.
What’s more, a Monthly Progress Report will be sent to you at the end of every month. It will contain a simplified review of your child’s performance through the course of the month in focus.

To pass math in any exam all a student needs is: (a) develop an interest in the subject (b) make time for the subject (your newly found interest), and (c) find a helping hand to give you a little nudge and guide you through (could be a tutor or a comprehensive text or both). I supply one-on-one tutorial sessions and group learners tutorial sessions through engaging teaching procedures that are personalized for best support, hence understanding the strengths and weakness of the learner(s) which serves as a guide to the flow of the sessions. I also prepare a Report Progress for the parent/client to ensure that there is a noticeably obvious way to track the learner's performance.
