I use videos and pictures to stir the interest of students. I also monitor student's progress using feedback mechanism to identify areas of weakness and strength and then work on weak areas. I also enjoy using real life examples to help students connect to lessons easily. For example -5+9 can be explained as (If I borrowed #5 and earned #9 as income and paid back the #5, how much will I have left?.). I use games sometimes to strengthen concepts learned.

I teach composition writing by prompting students to create sentences and paragraphs using questions as they build up a piece of writing. I use stories to teach grammatical concepts learned. After teaching a particular grammar concept, I guide students to listen to a story and identify examples under the topic taught. I also teach how to give answers to comprehension passages. I include verbal reasoning and basic phonetics.
