About me
I am a graduate of the University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts(Communication Arts is, in some tertiary institutions in Nigeria, designated as Mass Communication), in 2011.
Since graduating from the university I have had over 10 years' working experience that cuts across the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels of education.
I have equally undergone a number of seminars and workshops-some directly related to the teaching profession-and others relating to areas outside the teaching field.
Among other methods that I adopt, the following two methods are such that I use very often: 1. Inquiry-based learning, whereby I first pose relevant questions to students, and from their responses, explain the subject matter, in detail, to them. This method enables me to have, even if roughly, foreknowledge about my students' previous knowledge of the topic being treated.
Personalized education approach. Another method that I employ is personalized education approach, whereby I take cognizance of the peculiarities of each learner's learning needs, and so tailor the content and the overall delivery of my lessons to suit such peculiarities. This approach enables my to leverage on the individual differences dimension that pertains to each person-that no two individuals are exactly the same-even if they are identical twins.
My students can-and should-expect nothing short of excellence, excellent results! This is especially so because, besides having sufficient information regarding the subject that I should be teaching them, I am highly committed to ensuring that I deliver, to the fullest, on my mandate as a teacher and a mentor.
