TEACHING METHODS FOR BELOW AVERAGE STUDENTS
Every individual is unique with different IQ levels. Some students have the capability of grabbing fast and memorize for long, others have less picking capacity. In an organization, school or college, both active and weak students study.
Teachers are supposed to take care of each person per their specific needs. Slow learners require extra attention. Punishing a weak student won't provide the necessary solution.

1. THINK: Teachers! The more you think about a particular student's flaws and strengths, the more you will be able to guide him/her in the right way. Understand the core problem. It may be friends, society, family, health or any personal condition.
2. PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS: Academic pressure can lead to mental disorders in children. Proper investigation will surely help to get reason behind the problem. If not cured, take the help of psychiatrists.
3. ENCOURAGEMENT: Scolding and harsh punishment may dscourage a weak child. He may get scared of sharing his problems. Find the vulnerable student's strength and utter encouraging words for him/her. Confidence is the keyword. It will make him/her feel his worth and importance.
4. TIMETABLE: Make a proper time table for him/her. Teachers can help them in dividing the given time into various slots for completing each topic, revise and give exams. Doing the appropriate thing at the proper time can achieve the goal.
5. EXTRA COACHING: Students require individual training after the scheduled school hours . A couple of more hours of tuition can improvise the laid-back parts of the below average students.
6. NO TEASING: Mocking weak students in front of the whole class can demotivate them. Then, the above average students will bully the not -so- brilliant ones and this shatters them from inside. The teachers must encourage equality and friendship among all students in the class.

TEN WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR STUDENTS' INTEREST IN A SUBJECT
1. MAKE THEM SEE IT AS PART OF THEIR DAILY LIVES:
Try as much as you can to find a way to relate the subject to their daily lives. It will make it much more likely for them to be interested in what you are explaining. e.g . If the subject is literature, try to show what they can learn from the characters' behaviour that they can apply to their own lives.
2. MAKE IT FUN: Yes , sometimes, Some subjects are just not fun. You can try to create some kind of competition or game that can help them to learn , or may be even use songs or videos, even a cartoon can be what you need to make them laugh and never forget the subject.
3. LET THEM PARTICIPATE IN THE WHOLE PROCESS: Ask them for input on the subject that will be presented, which resources will be used and how they will be evaluated.
4. MAKE IT PERSONAL: Try to relate the subject to your own life and circumstances. You don't necessarily have to tell a private story about yourself, but tell them something about how you felt when you got in touch with that subject for the very first time or how you have applied it in your life so far.
5. MAKE IT ACHIEVABLE: If you scare them by saying that this is a very complex subject and they will be in trouble if they don't manage to learn it, you are bound to fail. Students usually overreact under pressure and don't see these messages as a challenge at all. Try to take steps that help them feel they are capable of learning the material.
6. UNDERSTAND THEIR INTERESTS: It is mandatory that you know students' interests. If you know about their hobbies and goals, you may be able to relate the subject better to their lives.
