With the beginning of the school year, the pedagogical life begins to grow. It is difficult to do everything "correctly" in such a whirlwind.
Main rules for a young teacher
Do not be afraid of children. For beginners, it is most difficult to understand how to communicate properly with pupils of all ages. It is important to choose in advance a specific communication style that will be most convenient for you. However, in any case, you need to learn how to speak correctly. The language must be clear and understandable. You cannot hide, but adjust the visual contact immediately. It will help you quickly and easily connect with students. You cannot stand up, hide your hands to pockets or show other aspects of uncertain communication. If students feel fear, there may be a risk of building a difficult relationship between the student and the teacher.
Do not be afraid of mistakes. The teacher is not a robot. It is not necessary to persuade the students in their complete rightness and infallibility. At the time of being acquainted with the class and reading the names, I apologize for being able to pronounce them incorrectly. In addition, be patient, when someone corrects your mistakes and teach your students to justify their point of view.
Show respect. Respect is reciprocity. You will not be treated with respect if you do not show it to children. Do not cry to wheeze. The best option is to speak with a pupil of any age, as with an adult. A clear, reasoned and polite language works in all cases. Do not forget about such words as "thank you" and "please".
Keep subardination. Do not get too close to the students. There is not so distinctive difference between ages after graduation; especially for high school students. Remember that your actions and words can be re-arranged and passed to other teachers, administration or parents in a completely distorted form. Keep the door of your study open, when communicating with students.
Words do nit decide. Children often look cute. However, nobody knows what kind of relationship he or she has within his or her family. If you want to report some important message to parents, it is first necessary to check if the student has written it in a diary.
Keep an account. Do not forget to clog all the data in the e-magazine, place ratings in a diary and a paper journal; do not give up the results of the tests to the students. Create separate folders for each class and place works there. At parent's meeting, give them away to parents.
Sometimes it seems that the last two points are close to paranoid. It is so difficult to combine sincerity and humanity with such bureaucratic moments. However, it often happens that in teachers can be guilty in the most absurd situations. It is better to be safe and always have on-the-spot evidence and protection in the form of documented materials and facts.
